My Teaching Story
Ever since fourth grade, I wanted to be a teacher. My goal was to challenge my students to become lifelong learners. While teaching at Big Valley I developed and continuously refined engaging, student-centered lesson plans that incorporated hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and interactive activities to boost comprehension, critical thinking, and interest in chemistry. I taught lab safety protocols and proper chemical handling, while actively collaborating with colleagues in department meetings to support student achievement and instructional improvement.

My International Programs Story
As the Assistant Director at Pepperdine University, I managed the hiring and training of student interns and staff across the marketing, student development, and ambassador teams, while leading strategic marketing initiatives for International Programs—including market research, branding, content creation, advertising, and web management. I also oversaw student engagement and retention through orientation, re-entry programming, and spiritual development, and managed the recruitment and training of study abroad resident advisors and media coordinators.
